Much needed day off and in the backyard I go 6/11/17

It’s been a long, long week.  39 hours in three days.  My co-worker is sick again.
I’m hoping that he will feel well enough to come to work tomorrow.
The first thing I did this morning was to go into my backyard to fill up both trashcans with branches and tree limbs.  Trash day is tomorrow. It’s amazing how much I can fit in those cans once the limbs are broken down into smaller pieces.  I can see my little shed again and will be able to get to the propane tanks inside if I need to.

These limbs I’m leaving until I get a chance to cut them into smaller pieces with the chainsaw.

Then it was off to the front yard to get rid of some of the weeds.  The Royal Princess Tree is now 42 inches tall.  It’s still growing about an inch per day.  With some luck, I’ll have some shade in the kitchen sometime this summer.
The Sweet Woodruff is growing well.  I’m thinking that I might have to throw some water on my plants tonight.  It’s been awfully dry the past week.

This is some of a vine that was growing at my mom’s house.  It’s really taking off.

This is some Cat Mint.
And some more Sweet Woodruff.

Since I could now get to my spare propane in my little shed, I decided to grill some porkchops.

I also made some German Fleischsalat. That’s cut up Bologna, sweet pickles, Mayonaise and sour cream.  It’s resting in the fridge and will be good on crackers later.
I got the recipe from http://www.theomaway.com/

This is my delicious breakfast at noon.

I guess I’ll wash clothes and then iron to get ready for work tomorrow.
Maybe I’ll also watch a movie or something.
