Today’s meal consists of steak and eggs in the air fryer. I mostly eat ground meat and eggs now because that makes me feel the best. I donated my ramen noodles to the clubhouse. I was so excited to have found them, but they just don’t make me feel good, and it takes me days to get back to normal. It just isn’t worth it to me.
I passed by the USCIS twice before I realized that it was in a strip mall. In my head, I saw myself in downtown Houston, in the middle of high-rises, with no place to park.

The strip mall included a massage parlor.
When I arrived, it felt like I was at the DMV in Virginia. My number was 686, and I thought this was going to take a while. I was out in 20 minutes, and all they did was take my photo. They couldn’t tell me if it would still take 7 months before I got my new original certificate of citizenship.
Luckily, my driver’s license is good for another two years, so I have plenty of time.
Last week, I got a few mods for my van. These pieces protect the hinges on the side doors from collecting dirt and debris. This helps a lot since I’m in and out of the van all day long.

It also included covers for the screws for the back hatch.
This is the top hinge of the side door.

All these came in a box with absolutely no directions. Luckily, Rodney Esteban, who found this mod, wrote up directions in photos. 🙂 It was putting together a puzzle.
Here is my clean campsite…
… I kept on tracking these huge pine needles into my house. You know me: once something gets on my last nerve, it has to go. Thanks to a neighbor who let me borrow his rake, I now have a clean and tidy campsite.
I’m so glad this heat spell is over for now. I almost regretted leaving Virginia…..almost. It’s a beautiful 64 degrees right now. By Thursday, it should be down to the 50s.
I’ve got a little road trip going on Thursday. I made an appointment at www.huntsvilletoyotapm.com for an oil change. I also told them I wanted my rear right tire checked for a small leak. It’s a little over an hour away. I’m already a nervous wreck about going to a new dealership. I’ve never used another dealership other than www.millertoyota.com.
It’s almost time for my walk, and I’ve got to get those 7,000 steps in.
I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday. NBDs.
