Yes, I know!!! I was going to go north after visiting T-Jay in Princeton. After much discussion with my son, who told me that it won’t get hot so soon up here, I’ve decided to stay for 30 more days.

I stopped at the Rainbow’s End to pay my last month’s electric bill of $7.86 before I left last Friday morning. Then it was time to hit the road and go north for a little over 4 hours. What a relaxing drive. I never once had to get on any interstate.

Miss Pearl parked and plugged in at T-Jay’s home.

This was the first time I had seen an unattended trash truck picking up trash. It was weird not to see one or two men hanging on the back to move the trash cans.

I rode with T-Jay in his STI last week. I felt like I was in the cockpit of a jet with all those gadgets.

….and she talks when you start her.

What do you do if you don’t have a yard or flower bed of your own?

You work on somebody else’s. See? No townhouse or house needed. You can do it out of a van.

This is my lot at Sundowner RV Park for the next 30 days. The bathroom is right in front of me. It’s very quiet here, and many people live here full-time. I haven’t seen many people outside, maybe they come out at night?

This is one of two laundry rooms. I had a router and cables waiting for me, but I told the manager that I have plenty of internet connection between Verizon/Visible and AT&T. That would have been an unnecessary extra expense for me.

This is the bathroom.

This is a huge shower. A couple of blocks down, there is another laundry room, bathroom, and shower. First, I was kind of freaked out about the lack of more showers and washing machines, but then I remembered that most of these residents are fully self-contained and wouldn’t need to leave their RVs for anything like that. I will find out tonight when I go to take my shower.
No screaming kids or barking dogs so far. That’s a plus for me. T-Jay said he would drive the Scion to visit me because the STI makes more noise. I’ll have to tell him it’s okay to drive it here. I saw a Mustang drive by yesterday. I’m sure he won’t make more noise driving at the 5-mile-an-hour speed limit through the park. 🙂

This was on my walk this morning. I think I will take another one tonight.
So far, I miss being at Rainbow’s End Park. I hoped to park under some trees, but the photos were misleading or old. There is no pavement anywhere inside the park. Nothing but gravel. No picnic benches either. It’s okay, I really don’t have anything to bitch about.
Ever since coming to Texas, I’ve wondered why all the Walmarts play bird calls over their outside speaker systems instead of music like they do in Northern Virginia. I found out that the sounds keep birds from nesting or swarming like the video below: https://www.tiktok.com/@aceprogaming/video/7049504913826549038?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc
That must have been creepy!!
Well, you all have a great weekend. NBDs.
