Well, that didn’t last long! After four days of texting the manager at Sundowner RV park about the overflowing garbage in the trash can, the faucet that was no longer attached to one of the sinks, the bathrooms not being cleaned, and one of the showers not having temperature control (only scalding hot or cold), I told him that I was leaving. I’ve learned my lesson. Always check the park out. Never make a decision based on reviews or photos. The grounds were neglected, and the gravel roads were full of deep potholes. The park also gave me this weird vibe of people parking there to die. It was very depressing.
The manager asked me if I enjoyed my stay. I told him I wished I had, and then gave him my list of grievances.
I’m sure he was afraid I was going to give them a shitty review and to my surprise he refunded all my money to me.
Tuesday morning, I drove to Countryview RV Park, just a few miles away from Sundowner.

Road into the park.

Some of the signage when coming into this park.

This is their office. The manager, Cheryl, lives next door, and the owners, Terry and Coe, live in a house by the pond. They are nice, friendly people. The park is clean and well-kept!!
I parked in front of this office for the longest time. I was in no hurry, and it was such a relief to be here—a completely different feeling. It was early, and they were not open yet, but Terry got me signed up and gave me a choice of lots for the next 30 days. I’m parked right across from the clubhouse and bathroom.

Four ducks are at the pond. They come right up to you looking for goodies.

That’s Moose and Baily, two Great Pyrenees belonging to Terry and Coe. So far, they bark at me, but I bought some bribery items to make friends with them.

Moose and Bailey stay pretty much in this area.

That’s a Gnome garden by that bench.

I might have to ask Cheryl if I can get my knees dirty and remove some of those weeds.

That underground shelter seats 32 people in case of a storm/tornado.

The community BBQ area. I hear they will have meat. 🙂
I went to Walmart in Princeton this morning to pick up some eggs and butter. T-Jay met me over there and then followed me to my new home. After he left, I went to get my hair cut. It’s been a busy day for me.
At around 7ish, I’ll take my walk and try to bribe those two dogs.
