Decisions, Decisions, Sunday 3/1/26

I’ve decided to stay another month here in Princeton. It’s warming up, but not too uncomfortable yet. It made it up to 79 yesterday, and I did run the AC for a couple of hours until it cooled off. We’ve got a pretty good breeze since we are near water, and that helps. It looks like the temperature won’t drop below 50 anytime soon, so I’ll put away my little heater for now.

Updating my blog.

While I had the EcoFlow out of the van, I finally had access to the glove compartment. I figured I would change the filter while I could get to it.

After trying everything possible to fix the EcoFlow, including contacting EcoFlow, it turned out to be unfixable. EcoFlow offered to try to fix it by having me send it in, but could not guarantee that they would be able to do so. They did have a trade-in program and gave me a $100 coupon. I ended up not having to send it in.

It took a couple of days to find a place to recycle the 65-pound battery, but I found a neighbor here who has a recycling center. He came to pick it up the next day. My new EcoFlow has now arrived, and it’s working great. I have learned a lot about it while dealing with this issue, and I am sure that can make this one last a lot longer. Live and learn!!

I found out that my Starlink works just fine when it is mounted inside my sunroof. It beats having to take everything apart when I want to drive somewhere.

Lined up perfectly. That little gadget gives me enough room to adjust it if I need to. Now, if I could just find a ladder that can be permanently attached to my rooftop, that would make me an even happier woman… if that’s even possible.

Last week, the new owner of this campground came by. He was on his way to a hardware store and asked me if I needed anything. I told him a picnic table would be awesome since the lots don’t come with any. Ten minutes later, I had a table. He also told me that he and his wife have bought the campground that’s behind me, behind the fence. Eventually, it will house all the full-time residents. Lots of changes are coming.

I love the uncluttered space that I have. It’s very relaxing.

I’ve been thinking. Usually, I would leave here in June to head up to Colorado. If I leave before then, it will be too cold in Colorado, where I want to be, but way too hot here in Princeton. Soooo, I’m thinking of heading to Virginia in April or May, while the weather is still cool, and stay for a couple of months. Fredericksburg has a few campgrounds that offer extended-stay options I can check out. It will be nice to visit with family and friends.

Well, I still have time to mull it over.
