No Love at the CVS Either 01/07/25

I went to CVS yesterday morning. It’s the only place that does passport photos in Livingston. Apparently, the background for the pictures got torn up, and they are waiting on a new one that’s supposed to come in any day now. I left my info so they can call me once it arrives. I’ll probably go up there in a couple of days just to make sure.

I finally found a short pitcher that fits in my fridge. That ought to take care of my desire for ice in my saltwater. I was going to turn the freezer part on, but it made it hard to fit everything in the fridge, so I took the partition back out. The pitcher holds about a quart of water, and I refill it as soon as I use it. It works for me.

The sign is just when you leave the park. Zero to 70 in 12 inches. I don’t think I’ve made it up to 70 yet, but everybody is so relaxed around here that people don’t seem to be in a hurry to pass me. That’s a nice change from Northern Virginia.

I finally got my Roadie out. It took me a while to find it up on the roof-top.

This is what it looks like from the inside. With the moon roof open, it creates a nice cross breeze, which came in handy when it rained the other day.

I got this thin little mat to wipe my feet on. The tracking in of sand, leaves, etc., was getting on my nerves. This has solved that problem, and it’s small enough that I can store it easily when I leave.

Dan shared some grilled salmon with me. I air-fried some bacon and eggs, then piled that on top of the Salmon, plus butter, of course. It was delicious. I just received an email letting me know a package arrived. That will be the sardines that I ordered. Air-fried bacon and sardines are on the menu for today. Maybe I’ll throw in a couple of eggs, will see.

Last night, it went down to 29 degrees. Not too bad. When I get ready for sleep, I usually turn off everything running except my fridge. This morning it was colder than a witch’s tit. I turned on my little heater and the coffee maker and returned under the covers for a few minutes to heat the inside. Due to the small space, it only takes a few minutes to warm up. Then it’s time to throw on some clothes and my first cup of coffee.

I don’t have much planned for today. I might wash some clothes. By the way, thanks for the laundry pods, Greg. They are great, especially since the pods aren’t liquid.

Later, around 3:30, I will walk to the mail center to collect my sardines. 🙂 My meal time has changed recently because I’m no longer hungry around noon. So, I will just wait to eat whenever my stomach starts growling. It’s probably due to the extra fat I’ve been eating, which keeps me full longer.

Well, that’s it for now. I hope everyone has a great day. Stay warm and stay safe. NBDs.
