……..before going to work? You end up with some super tender awesome meat. Ha…and I was so worried that I would come home to burnt stew. It was well done and delicious over some mashed sweet potatoes.

I’m assuming that everything is clear and dry when I head out to Catlett in a couple of hours. At least I hope so, got to chase a motor coach.
Yesterday the hot water came back on in the bathroom 30 minutes after I posted it. Weird!! This morning it was 5 degrees and the hot water in the bathroom was fine.
When I go to bed tonight, I will have finished 7 days of not smoking. What a long week. I do hope it gets better with time. I miss it!
Time for one more cup a…

Donna….I left if on for 5 hours on high. Luckily I had added enough liquid, else it would have probably been close to concrete consistency.CJsMonnie…lol, I read making cakes somewhere. I do know that someone on here was cooking steel cut oatmeal in a crockpot over night.lol….blowing candles out twice. 🙂

@Tango Making cakes in them? I'm missing a cookbook!LOL I'll have to remember that one (the eyeball part).@Donna I was raised to lock all the doors and windows, blow candles out twice and never leave anything on. Which is weird considering the family crock-pot history but I digress. I thought it would go \”poof\” like a coffee pot when it runs out of liquid. lol

My Mom and Grandma swore by crockpots but the first time I used my crockpot, in my own home, I worried I'd come back to a burned house. Now, I've got several crockpot cookbooks. =)Oooh, that coffee has me Jonesing for another cup of my own!
