I’m finished, but you know, with a campervan you are never really finished.

One of my co-workers decorated my surge protector for me. This is the back.

….and this is the front. Much better than the plain white.

This is a gutter screen that I bought at Lowe’s. It has a screen behind it. It fit perfectly without me having to cut anything.

This is after I painted it black. On clear days I can open the window without worrying about flies or mosquitos coming in.

This is the toy kitchen that I bought from IKEA. I just cut off the legs and it’s a perfect fit.

This is the back with the faucet and water hooked up. On the right side is another energy source if I need it.

This is the kitchen stocked up. I put a lock on the bottom cabinet in case things want to fly out when I go around a corner too tight. I have changed the curtains with white ones I stole from my townhouse.

New curtains. I like these better and I’m still able to see out of the windows when backing up.

On the left is my toilet. First, it was the home for the fridge/freezer, but that thing took up too much room. I sold it and bought a much smaller one that sits on the passenger seat.
Next time I’ll know to build my camper around the toilet, not the refrigerator!!!

This is a Laveo Dry Flush Electric Toilet.

No smell, no fuss, no muss!!!

I’ll use it as a table when not in use.

My fridge/freezer is on the passenger seat. It holds 21 quarts instead of 37. Much smaller, and it eats up less energy.

It can also be controlled via phone.
I spent Sunday putting down cabinet liners anywhere that I heard a rattle while driving. All noises are gone except for the K-Bar hanging from the cabinet. I’ll have to figure out how to make that quiet too.
All this time I’ve been afraid to leave the doors open while working on the van so that my battery wouldn’t run down. Every 30 minutes I turned the motor on so that wouldn’t happen. I finally found out yesterday that a switch up front cuts off the electricity to the automatic doors. That’s one less worry. It will be nice to be able to sit in the back of the van with the doors open. Learn something new every day.
I still have a few lights to install and then I’ll be finished…..well, maybe
Meanwhile, I’m downsizing stuff at the townhouse.
So you’re taking silly with you? Is your son going to stay in your apartment or does he have other plans? This is all going really fast if you think about it. Good job.!!
Yes, I’ll be taking her with me. I’m selling the townhouse as soon as I get it fixed up a bit. I’m already selling stuff off and downsizing.
brilliant! I actually got a kick out of the IKEA kitchen set up and it made me smile that you used such an ingenious item! I am assuming Scilly Isles will be traveling with you? I can’t remember if she’s micro chipped but that’s a must have when you’re on the road as a RF tracker.
Thank you, Teri. Yes, Miss Silly is chipped. 🙂
Awesome built. Just got my Sienna and want to copy some of your ideas. Would be nice if I could talk / email with you for advice. Thanks !
