Tuesday, 11/03/26…small updates here and there

The weather in the past week has been beautiful. Low 80s during the day. Nights in the 60s. It’s all about to change. Today’s high will be around 71, and it will drop to the low 50s tonight! I’m loving it.

With the time change, I can start my work at 6:15 when it starts to get light outside. This morning I finished around 8:30. Nothing was overly dirty, and I had no bad actors! 🙂 I’m scared to mention this, not to jinx myself. No one craped in the showers, and no one stopped up the toilets.

In early October, my refrigerator broke down. Luckily, I still had my fridge/freezer from the Sienna, so I didn’t lose much food. I lost about 20 dollars of meat.

Ryan, from Ryan’s Mobil RV Repairs, came to the rescue after I filed a claim with Casita. It turned out to be a loose wire. The wires run through all the cabinets; this is one reason I’m not too keen on storing things in them. It’s way too easy to move a wire and disconnect it.

A modern Furrion refrigerator with a stainless steel finish, featuring various magnets on the front, situated in a cozy camper kitchen space.

He had to pull out the entire unit, and it was not easy to get to the wiring.

While he was here, he fixed a few other things, like my drawers that wouldn’t close. He also ordered another cover for one of the Max fans that wouldn’t close.

The cover came in last week, so Ryan stopped by to install it. Then he asked me, “What else you got?” So I mentioned the bidet I had ordered. Thirty minutes later, it was installed.

… and like magic, I have a bidet. 🙂

Interior view of a cozy van featuring a kitchenette with a sink, cabinets, and appliances, leading to a sleeping area with a bed and window.

It’s awesome to be able to open all the windows for a change. There have been months when the windows were covered to keep the heat out.

A cozy workspace in a van with a computer desk, a monitor, a laptop, and an ergonomic chair. The interior features natural light from a window, a neatly organized workspace, and a casual atmosphere.

I ended up getting a real chair with a back instead of the stool that I had before. It’s so much more comfortable.

Interior of a compact living space featuring a white storage unit with a dark countertop, a black ice maker, a metal basket with kitchen items, and a packet of snacks on a wooden surface.

I put the ice maker on the other side of the fridge, so that I would have more room for a cabinet by the sink.

A well-organized kitchen countertop featuring an air fryer, a small food dehydrator, a mixing bowl, utensils, and a sink, with a wall-mounted range hood above.

This helped me get rid of some of the clutter.

Interior view of a kitchen storage area showing two open cabinets with shelves. One cabinet contains canned goods and a box, while the other holds various containers and packages.

I also installed motion-sensor lights in all the cabinets so I can find stuff.

A street lamp illuminating a cloud of small flying insects at night, with a blurry background.

I’m so glad these bugs finally went away. This was one morning before work. I always waited for daylight before cleaning the buildings so the bugs would die or leave before I started. I spent about 30 minutes just vacuuming up bugs.

A black microwave on a kitchen countertop surrounded by numerous small insects on the wall and surface.

Bugs ……

A corner of a room with a dark floor covered in numerous small insects, with several insects crawling on the wall.

…..and more bugs. It’s even worse when the residents leave the lights on at night instead of just turning them off when they leave.

Oh, and let’s not forget the scorpions. This is the third one I’ve found in one of the bathrooms.

A silver Toyota minivan parked on a smooth surface with trees and recreational vehicles in the background.

This is Ms. Pearl two weeks after getting washed. Usually by now, it would be covered in dust and really dull and nasty-looking.

Thanks to a friend trying this product on her black truck, I bought some of the same.

Three bottles of MAXL ONE cleaner with spray nozzles, wrapped in plastic, placed on a table with packages in the background.

This stuff is amazing. After using it, the dirt and dust just glides off, especially during rain.

Close-up of the side rear of a white vehicle with tinted windows, showing the door handle and a view of the dirty wheel on a gravel surface.

Just look at the windows. It’s really amazing.

A close-up of a car's side window reflecting the scene outside, including a blue sky with clouds and parked vehicles.

I’ll be putting MaxL One on the Casita as soon as I get it washed up.

A small green laundry room building with a sign, decorated with pumpkins and autumn plants, flanked by corn stalks, situated on a gravel path.

The owners here went all out with the Halloween decor. Plenty of the residents also decorated. I can’t wait to see what they come up with for Christmas.

A seasoned piece of meat in an air fryer basket alongside a package of egg white spaghetti noodles and a container of garlic parmesan seasoning.

Well, it’s time for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I’ve put a big, thick pork chop in the air fryer. I’ll add some egg white noodles, and that will be it until tomorrow.

A plate of noodles topped with a grilled pork chop covered in a creamy sauce, set on a green plate.

Add some sour cream and a bit of horseradish sauce….it’s delicious!!

That’s it, friends and fam. I’m going to wash my dishes and wait for T-Jay to stop by.

I hope that everyone is having a great day.
