In the beginning….

…..here I am not knowing anything about how to “blog”.

I’m sitting at work and it’s pretty slow. Through three of the larger internet job sites, my company has been used in a check cashing scam. For those of you that don’t know what that involves…. bogus checks are mailed out to people asking them to cash them and then send part of the cash somewhere else. Since the bank doesn’t immediately know that the check is bogus, they may cash it and then when they find out that the check is not worth anything, the person that cashed it will get charged for the amount of the check from that bank. It’s been a real mess. People have been calling from all around the country to ask if the check is real. I pity those that didn’t!!

It was started on the internet job sites as a post offering a book keeping job and the info was gathered from resumes that where then emailed out to the supposed employer.
