Boycotting BP branded stations is just a drop in a bucket. It’s more of a statement to me.  I dug down deeper and found a partial list of products that are made with petroleum.  Below are just a few of 6000+ items. One 42 gallon barrel of oil creates about 19.4 gallons of gasoline and the rest is used to make other products.

…oh, here’s more … novelty candy, asphalt, wax paper, plastic hangers, fake fur, computer diskettes, computers, copiers, magic markers, microfilm, earphones, knitting needles, golf balls, stuffed animals, rubbing alcohol, Pepto-Bismol, lipstick, denture adhesives, egg cartons, freezer bags, teflon pans, formica, linoleum, garden hoses plungers, floor was, plexiglas, spray paint, dog toys flea collars, checkbook covers, shopping bags, credit cards, watch bands….it’s just overwhelming.  It’s in everything.

Would you be able to eliminate products containing petroleum?

Crap! Let me get off of here….I’ll be at this all day.
