I made it through the night warm, dry and safe. …..slept like a log even with the wind blowing and whistling outside my window. My lights never even flickered during the storm.
This morning, this is all the damage I could find…
The top of the light by my front door came off but was on the ground right below…
No big deal. I never use that light anyway, since I rigged up a motion sensor flood light. Nothing else broken, the siding is still on the house. The car is fine. I consider myself pretty lucky! 🙂 I did find trash and trash cans everywhere on my way to work this morning. It was pretty much like driving through an obstacle course.
Last night at around 10 there was so much noise that I decided to go out in the back yard and see. I have a 500-watt floodlight out there. Well, as you can see, it really wasn’t all that bad…much bark, hardly any bite.
I guess I won’t have any daytime work for a while. I received an email from one of my clients that I chase for. He wrote: “Due to the significant weather event on the east coast, please note the following. Please suspend field chasing in the following states until reassigned: CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, RI, MA. ” Surely all my other clients will follow suit.
I was freezing at work earlier. My hands were so cold, I could hardly type. Then I remembered the fingerless gloves that I made.
Ha, all nice and warm now. Well, back to work. It’s going to be a long day.
Hope everyone is safe out there.
