I have tried to grow Sweet Woodruff from seed for the past three year but could never get them to spout much less grow. A couple of months ago I found a company, The Growers Exchange , that has them already started. I ordered them a few weeks ago and they finally came in the mail yesterday.
They came well packaged and looked great.
I put them in the ground right away. The directions tell you to plant them within four days.
This one I’m saving to give to my Mom.
I remember having Waldmeister Jello, topped with Vanilla sauce, in Germany when I was a kid. When these plants bloom, I’m sure it will bring back a lot of fond memories.
I found a few recipes on Nadia Hassani’s blog, Spoonfuls of Germany , that I’m going to try out.
