Sunrise this morning.

So, I killed my cacti.

I planted them from a kit on August 20th. Nothing grew. So I started over today using three cacti from work.

I hope that they make it.

The one on the right started out just as small and also came from a cactus at work. You’d think that I could grow these since I’ve kept four Poinsettias alive at work for almost a year.

My next project today was to change all the light bulbs inside my Prius to LEDs.

First I changed the puddle lights. I hate the orange and they are not very bright at all.

Much better. I might even be able so SEE a puddle when I get out of the car.

Then I changed the bulbs in the dome light. I thought it was broken since the light never came on when I opened the door.

Well, that explained why the light never came on when the door was open…a broken bulb will do that. 🙂

Much better!!!

Then on to the bulbs that light up my plates. That was pretty scary since I had to pull out the trim on the inside of the hatch without breaking the clips.

I managed to pull it off without breaking any of the blue clips.

Awesome. I can’t wait to see the LEDs in the morning on my way to work.

The only bulbs I didn’t change was the one for the light behind the driver’s side visor and the one inside the trunk. I had to find one on Amazon that will fit.

I should be getting this one on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be the right size.

It’s been many years since I’ve owned an older car and I’m getting in the habit of keeping a few tools in the trunk. Like a way to jump the battery if I have to. The Fanttik is small and very powerful. It will also charge a bunch of other things.

Hopefully I won’t need it, but with a car that is 14 years old, you never know.

I went to Dollar Tree this morning to pick up batteries, towels, and tissues. They are the cheapest around here for those items. While I was there I found this for one dollar.

It’s a tiny LED lamp.

It’s very small, just right for extra light while doing my nails.

5Minute Glam Nails for the week. They might have to last a while. My co-worker is going on vacation and I won’t get a day off for the next twelve days.

Have a great week everyone and be safe.
