What’s For Dinner?

Veggie Pizza with Horse Radish Sauce and red wine….what else?

I’ve noticed a few of my co-workers talking about going home and relaxing with a glass of wine.   I’ve always wanted to be able to do that, but have never found a wine that I like.  Every time I go to a store I end up walking in the wine isle, but never buying anything.  It’s mostly because I don’t like anything sour.  Just the mention of lemons, oranges, sour apples, sour pickles etc. makes my mouth fill with water and gets me to shuddering.  On the other hand, I don’t like anything sweet and syrupy either.  The people that work in the stores are of no help….they no absolutely nothing!!!   It’s overwhelming just to walk through the isles…there must be hundreds of different kinds of wine to choose from.

……so, anyway.  One of my co-workers brought me a bottle of wine to try out.  It’s actually pretty good.  Not sweet, but not sour either.  I’ll have to try another glass tomorrow night.  The bottle is too large to fit in my little refrigerator so I put it in the kitchen cabinet….it must be a freakin’ 25 degrees in there.

This morning I lost my pussy for a few minutes.  I couldn’t find her anywhere after looking in all of her favorite hiding places.  A few minutes later I found this lump in my throw rug….

I sure hope that I won’t be stumbling half asleep through the kitchen one morning and step on her.  Crazy pussy!!

I thought I would have a day off tomorrow, but I have to chase four cars in Woodbridge tomorrow.  The plan is to get up early and get those out of the way first thing in the morning and then head over to my Mom and Pops and spend the afternoon.

  1. Okka…I guess I better put the bottle back in the kitchen cabinet. On the other hand, I better leave it on the counter or I will forget about it. On the last hand, I better go ahead and drink it. 🙂

  3. Room temperature – as far as I know, in the olden days room temperatures were much lower than what we're used to these days. No wearing t-shirts inside in the winter! I think it means about 16°C, which is about 60°F. Anyway, that's a gooddrinking temperature for red wine. Lecker!

  4. Joe…I did let it breathe and it was room temperature at the time. I think I'll take it out of the cabinet. :)Teri…It's going to be a while before I try anything else. This bottle is HUGE. What would I be looking for if I want something in between dry and sweet?

  6. You know if it's red wine is should NOT be chilled and be at room temperature? You should let it breath too. Leave the top or cork out for a while and then drink it.Enjoy!
