My HOA made me cut down my tree three weeks ago. It took some doing since it had grown up to the roof by then. I loved all the shade it gave me late in the afternoon. They called it a weed tree. I remember someone taking pictures of my front yard a few days before I got the notice to cut it down. I guess they must have googled my tree.
Here is what I found:
Paulownia Tomentosa is a deciduous tree in the family Paulowniaceae, native to central and western China. It is an extremely fast-growing tree and is a persistent exotic invasive in North America.
I guess they got worried that it would spread even though it has never bloomed.
This is what it looks like now after I chopped it down three weeks ago.
It really does grow 12 inches a month. I think I’m just going to pretend it’s a bush.
Not much is new around here. I’m still in the townhouse. My son, my roommate, and Silly, my cat still live with me.
I’m still working at Miller Toyota, it will be 12 years this year.
I’m not interested in tiny houses any more but have shifted to van living. It is more mobile, and I can move whenever I want. I figure it will be another three years before I bite the bullet. I have narrowed it down to the Pro Master 2500 High Top. I’m getting super excited about it.
It’s been a while since I’ve visited my mom, so I just texted my co-worker to see if she can cover for me on Thursday. Got my fingers crossed.
Well, I’m hitting the bed. It’s been a long day.
